Well I (from London) stayed at the Earl for the first time in early November 2012, as I was going to a few business meetings, combined with a day off at the races....over a 4 night stay......I was very impresssed with the locality for Doncaster Racecourse and how friendly the staff were. The rooms and hotel must be pushing the upper boundaries of 3 Star as it really is top end. Beautiful Art Deco bar and restaurant, with a fab 1st floor ballroom, which gets hired on a regular basis. Food is top end in the evening in the restaurant...with a lovely touch of live piano on Sunday to read the papers too and enjoy a relaxing drink...or two. So while I was there, I picked up a promotional brochure for their Christmas break package, between Xmas and New Year....so we returned again and had an even better time for a very reasonably priced Twixmas package, which included an a la carte evening meal one night...full afternoon tea on another day & a day out at the races included...Superb.....We were lucky enough to catch the the Doncaster Youth Orchestra playing to a packed house in the Ballroom.....Live Jazz, good company and a bottle of wine..... I will be returning soon.... I suggest You Do Too....

a nice hotel. outside appeal won't get you through the door but inside it is nice if you like your art deco style. breakfast was excellent. rooms are modern and spotless.
