Just arrived and the room is small, my box room at home is bigger, I'm looking out onto a wall and there is a questionable stain on the toilet, I would have gotten bigger and better in a budget hotel. Have stayed in the Westbury a few times and their smallest rooms are twice the size of this one. If they mention room 513, avoid it. Just to finish off the review, we have been awake all night with hen parties and we are next to some pipework, so have heard everyone having their showers since 6:30 am

Decided to treat myself a couple of months ago to this hotel for one night, and treat myself I did. Loved loved loved it. From the staff to the bedroom everything was great! Top class treatment from the minute I arrived until I left. I will definitely be back.

Patrick is the best concierge we've ever experienced at any hotel.

The Fitzwilliam is a great location to meet for a business lunch if you have people attending the meeting who are travelling into the city by public transport as it is right next to the Luas line that extends south of Dublin. The lobby area is pleasant and the staff are attentive - the bar on the ground floor is perfect for a business lunch or an early casual dinner with colleagues.

It's pretty much this or the Merrion if you're looking to really classy city hotels. You want total luxury, pick the Merrion. You want some a little hipper and sleeker, but need a 5 star? This is the place. Staff and professional, helpful and the rooms are stunning (if you get the ones that look onto the Green. The hotel bar is OK – there's definitely more atmospheric hotel bars in Dublin, but the point is that you're *in Dublin* who wants to stay in a hotel bar? It's also the home of Thorntan's, which features arguably the highest standard of food in Dublin and the most divisive decor.
